The wait is over:Ilya Kovalchuk has a new home.

After his contract with the Los Angeles Kings was terminatedDec. 16, many wondered whetherand when Kovalchuk would sign with another club. The speculation has officially ended as the 36-year-old Cedric Ogbuehi Jersey winger agreed Friday to a one-year, two-way contract with the Montreal Canadiens.

The deal pays the Ru sian forward$700,000 at the Auden Tate Jersey NHL level and $70,000 in the AHL to finish off the 2019-20 season.
