The Sabres have found a winger after making a trade with the Noel Acciari Jersey Rangers forJimmy Vesey.
Vesey, 26, is coming off a season in which he tallied a career-high 35 points while matching his best goal-scoring output of 17.
The leftwingerhas one year remaining on the two-year deal he signed with New York in 2018. He has acap hit of $2.275 million.
Vesey became expendable, more or le s, when New York selected Finnish teenager Kaapo Kakko with the second overall pick in the NHL Draft last month.
The Sabres, who relinquished a 2021 third-round pick for Vesey, have reportedly been looking around Rick Nash Jersey for a second-line center and a winger over the last few weeks, and with New York’s depth at the position, a move for Vesey was po sible.
